What we collect about you
Your name, company, email address, phone number and business mailing address. The profile you write describing the work you perform. Your billing details are held by Stripe; we store only their identifiers, never a card number.
Your mailbox
If you connect a Google mailbox, we request one permission: send email on your behalf. We cannot read, list, or delete any message in your account, and we do not request the ability to. The credentials are encrypted at rest with a key held outside the database. You can disconnect at any time from Settings, or revoke us directly in your Google account.
Information about other firms
We read solicitation and planholder information published by government agencies, and business contact details for estimators at general contractors. This is business contact information used for business purposes. Any recipient can opt out permanently using the link in every message, and that opt-out applies across every customer of ours, not just the firm who wrote to them.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data, or anyone else’s.
- We do not send anything from your mailbox without your approval, unless you explicitly turn on automatic sending.
- We do not access pages that require an account, and we honour robots.txt.
- We do not host or redistribute documents published by an agency; we link to them.
Deleting your data
Email support@scopeletter.us and we will delete your account, profile and mailbox credentials. Records of messages already sent are retained where we are required to keep them.
